Hanoi, May 23 – The Vietnam Interior Design Association, in collaboration with professional partners and industry enterprises, held a press conference to introduce the "TREND 26+" publication. This publication focuses on forecasting design trends for living spaces, interiors, and architecture in Vietnam for the period of 2026–2030.

This is the first time a comprehensive and in-depth orientation document has been meticulously developed by a team of local and international experts, with references from the data systems of WGSN (World Global Style Network), RAL, and prestigious international design fairs.

TREND 26+ is expected to become a valuable reference tool for real estate developers, architects, interior designers, and even building material manufacturers. In the context of the growing demand for personalized, eco-friendly, and technology-integrated living spaces, grasping the right market direction will be a key factor in creating distinctive products.

TREND 26+ is an in-depth orientation document meticulously developed by a team of local and international experts.

The publication categorizes trends into three main themes:

  • Sustainability and Greening: Emphasizing green living spaces, healthy materials, green furniture, and environmental friendliness.
  • Personalization & Human-centricity: Focusing on designs rich in identity that cater to personalized experiences and balance functionality with emotion.
  • Technology Integration: Applying artificial intelligence, virtual technology, and automation in design and construction.

Speaking at the launch event, Architect Le Truong – President of the Vietnam Interior Design Association, remarked: "A trend is not something that arises naturally; it is the result of a deliberate process of observation, selection, and creation. In design, a trend is not just about what's new – it must reflect identity, societal needs, and the spirit of the era. Shaping a Vietnamese design trend requires a connection between expertise, creativity, and cultural context. The launch of a project like this promises to be an effective support tool for all stakeholders in the industry."

Mr. Mai Xuan Duc, CEO of Viglacera Trading Joint Stock Company, representing the publication's publisher, shared: "As businesses operating in the field of manufacturing materials and interior accessories, we have the opportunity to regularly interact with trend creators, updaters, and adopters, as well as the end-users. It is from this observation and listening that we realize our entire interior industry is heading towards a common goal, sharing common needs."

Mr. Mai Xuan Duc affirmed the urgent need for a tool that can synthesize, analyze, and forecast significant shifts – not just at the material or product level, but at a deeper level concerning cultural values, aesthetics, new technologies, and consumer behavior. A tool that can predict the underlying movements in creativity, as well as the socio-economic context that will impact Vietnam's interior design industry in the coming period.

The publication will be officially released nationwide on June 6, 2025.

The TREND 26+ publication consists of 552 pages, systematizing 31 key interior and architectural trends, with content selected from 45 experts and data from over 5,000 surveys. It is scheduled for official nationwide release on June 6, 2025.

As the real estate and architecture industries seek new values – from green living trends to sustainable development, from smart materials to personalized experiences – TREND 26+ will serve as a crucial reference platform for project development decisions and living space design strategies in Vietnam for the next decade.

With the orientation "from Vietnam, towards the region," TREND 26+ is also an affirmation of the ability to shape interior design and living space trends from the Vietnamese context itself – suitable for domestic tastes and capable of engaging in dialogue with regional markets such as Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, or Thailand.
