VIGLACERA: A 50-YEAR LEGACY OF GREEN INNOVATION

Leveraging advanced firing technology and a commitment to producing green materials, Viglacera has steadily increased domestic value and evolved into a global supplier after five decades.

Established in 1974, Viglacera now comprises 40 member units focusing on building materials manufacturing and real estate and industrial park development. From the outset, the company has aimed to contribute to national development. After nearly 50 years, it

As Vietnam embraced global economic integration, Viglacera focused on R&D and competitiveness. The result: highly regarded innovations such as panels and AAC blocks. The company also transitioned from traditional red bricks to non-fired materials and energy-efficient glass, aligning with sustainable development goals.

Viglacera was among the first in Vietnam to develop industrial parks, creating jobs for thousands. Its 12 operational parks—11 in Vietnam and one in Cuba—have thrived, even amid COVID-19 disruptions.

The company has consistently introduced new materials, upgraded technologies, and enhanced its product portfolio for better durability, corrosion resistance, and user safety.

Notably, its Vasta Stone sintered slabs, produced using SACMI's Continua+ technology from Italy, are widely used in modern homes and architectural projects.

Prioritizing not just performance but also aesthetics, Viglacera’s products are designed to inspire architects and create emotionally engaging living spaces.

With an ambition to elevate "Made in Vietnam" in both domestic and international markets, Viglacera is collaborating with global experts and investing in cutting-edge technologies that meet international standards.

Over the years, Viglacera has earned accolades such as the National Quality Award (2019–2020) and the A’ Design Award (2021), affirming its contributions to Vietnam’s economic development and global reputation.

The global and local building materials sectors face increasing pressure to reduce environmental impact. Construction accounts for 40% of natural resource consumption in developed countries and generates significant greenhouse gas emissions—30% during operation and 18% during material use and transport.

Recognizing this, Viglacera has committed to green production by using recycled materials (10–20%), waste recovery, and clean energy. Its energy-saving glass (Low-E and Solar Control) reduces electricity costs by 51%, blocks 79% of solar radiation, and filters 99% of UV rays.

Its non-fired roof tiles and blocks, certified by the Singapore Green Council, eliminate kiln emissions while maintaining high strength and durability.

Vasta Stone’s sintered products combine aesthetics and sustainability. Produced with minimal waste on the advanced Continua+ line, they reduce environmental strain and preserve natural resources.

Importantly, Vasta Stone’s silica-free production initiative addresses air pollution and public health concerns, supporting Vietnam’s green transition goals.

In parallel, Viglacera promotes green awareness through educational initiatives like the 2023 Summer Green Design Workshop, engaging architecture students in designing low-carbon, energy-efficient buildings.
