VIGLACERA AUTOCLAVED AERATED CONCRETE – ONE SOLUTION, MULTIPLE ADVANTAGES

One of the key concerns for investors, contractors, and architects in construction today is how to improve building quality while optimizing investment costs and advancing toward sustainable, green architecture. Viglacera’s autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) has become a favored choice thanks to its superior properties that align with modern construction trends.

Viglacera AAC – A Modern Building Solution

Why Choose Viglacera AAC?

Lightweight:
Viglacera AAC has a density ranging from 400kg/m³ to 1,000kg/m³—only about one-third the weight of solid clay bricks and two-thirds the weight of hollow clay bricks. This significantly reduces the load on the building structure, helping cut structural costs by 10–15%. Alternatively, it allows for greater building heights while keeping the structure unchanged. Its light weight also enables the production of larger-sized blocks without affecting worker handling. Construction using AAC can double the speed of bricklaying compared to conventional bricks, leading to shorter project timelines.

Excellent Thermal Insulation:
With a thermal conductivity coefficient ranging from 0.11W/m0k to 0.22W/m0k, Viglacera AAC outperforms traditional bricks—only one-fourth to one-fifth the conductivity of fired clay bricks, and one-sixth that of regular concrete bricks. In practical terms, a 20cm thick wall made from AAC provides the same insulation as a 49cm thick wall of fired bricks. Studies show that in tropical climates, using AAC can reduce air conditioning electricity consumption by up to 40%.

Superior Sound Insulation:
Thanks to its evenly distributed microcellular air bubbles, AAC provides excellent sound insulation—approximately twice that of conventional bricks, with a sound reduction level of up to 40dB.

Fire Resistance:
At high temperatures (600°C), the compressive strength of AAC remains equivalent to its strength at room temperature. As such, Viglacera AAC meets Level I fire resistance standards in construction.

Seismic Resistance:
Its porous structure allows AAC to absorb shocks effectively. Buildings constructed with AAC demonstrate far better earthquake resistance compared to those using traditional bricks.

Flexible Manufacturing & On-Site Workability:
AAC blocks can be manufactured in various sizes tailored to specific project needs. A common configuration includes 22cm thick blocks for exterior walls and 10cm blocks for partition walls, though non-standard dimensions are also easily accommodated. During construction, installing utilities like electrical and plumbing systems is considerably easier. AAC walls can be drilled, routed, and shaped much more conveniently than conventional brick, offering unmatched flexibility and convenience.

Flexible production and effortless on-site processing

Environmentally Friendly:
Beyond its technical advantages, Viglacera AAC is also an eco-friendly material. Its manufacturing process generates no harmful emissions, wastewater, or solid waste. The primary raw materials—sand, cement, lime, water, and micro-additives—are natural, abundant, recyclable, and pose no health risks to users. This ensures resource efficiency and contributes to a cleaner, greener construction industry.

A Revolutionary Material

Viglacera AAC is a groundbreaking material that brings together multiple advantageous properties in a single product. It’s no surprise that autoclaved aerated concrete has become a go-to solution for today’s forward-thinking investors, contractors, designers, consultants, and builders.
