In early May 2025, Dr. Arch. Phan Dang Son – President of the Vietnam Association of Architects (VAA) and fellow architects undertook an official working visit to Cuba aimed at promoting professional cooperation, academic exchange, and developing the network of young architects between the two countries with long-standing friendly relations. The VAA delegation also visited Viglacera's booth at the Coverings building materials trade fair and exhibition and undertook architectural tours in the United States.

Expanding International Connections in the United States
In addition to the itinerary in Cuba, VAA President Dr. Arch. Phan Dang Son, along with Mr. Mai Xuan Duc – General Director of Viglacera Trading Joint Stock Company, attended the Coverings 2025 Exhibition in Orlando, Florida, USA. This is North America's largest exhibition for tile and natural stone. Within the exhibition's framework, the VAA President visited Viglacera's booth and was impressed by its environmentally friendly, high-tech product lines that have achieved international certifications such as Green Label (Singapore) and LEED (USA).
There, Dr. Arch. Phan Dang Son had a discussion with Mr. Rod Applegate, President of Tower Engineering, Inc., the company that incorporated Viglacera's technical tiles into the US Capitol Building project.
After the Coverings Exhibition, the VAA delegation conducted architectural tours in major US cities such as Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Miami. Here, the delegation gained practical insights into typical architectural works, modern design trends, and sustainable urban planning solutions, aimed at accumulating experience and expanding international connections for Vietnamese architects.
The working visit of the VAA President and architects concluded successfully, not only marking a new development in Vietnam-Cuba cooperation in architecture but also expanding opportunities for international exchange, elevating the status of Vietnamese architects on regional and global maps.
