“THE TOUCH PAVILION”: A CROSSROAD OF EMOTION AND MODERN MATERIAL TRENDS

The architectural exhibition “The Touch Pavilion” (Nét Chạm Pavilion) took place at the Construction Industry Connection Center in Hanoi from October 9–11. The event drew a distinguished crowd of architects, developers, and leading partners in the fields of building materials and interior design.

A Dialogue Between Modern Materials and Vietnamese Identity

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Architect Ta Duc Quang, General Director of Consmedia and the creative mind behind the pavilion, shared that the exhibition carries a simple yet profound message: honoring the delicate "touch" where primordial natural beauty meets the precision of modern manufacturing.

Designed as two concentric circles set upon a natural grass lawn, the pavilion utilizes premium Eurotile ceramics and Vasta Stone sintered stone. The inner circle symbolizes culture, embracing a core of living trees, while the outer circle represents the advancement of technology and modern construction materials.

"The Touch Pavilion is an open creative space where rugged materials like stone and tile are reimagined through a sophisticated, emotional lens," Architect Quang explained. "It tells a story of balance between high-tech application and artistic cultural values."

At the event, Viglacera officially unveiled the Eurotile 2025 Season Collection and its groundbreaking "Vein-in-Body" Vasta Stone products.

Mastering Global Technology

Mr. Mai Xuan Duc, General Director of Viglacera Tiles Trading JSC, noted that following years of development, the 2025 Eurotile collection now features 38 distinct series comprising hundreds of designs.

Furthermore, since late 2022, Viglacera has operated the Sacmi Continua+ (Italy) line—the world's most advanced sintered stone production technology. This has resulted in the creation of Vasta Stone slabs in large formats ($1.6 \times 3.2$m), which remain the largest sintered stone slabs produced domestically in Vietnam. In 2024, the company pushed boundaries further with "Vein-in-Body" technology, a high-complexity process that integrates patterns throughout the entire thickness of the stone.

"With Eurotile’s unique designs and Vasta Stone’s versatile dimensions, I am confident this 'material duo' will see widespread adoption, carrying the Viglacera brand further on the international stage," Mr. Duc remarked.

A "Creative Playground" for Architects

Dr. Architect Phan Dang Son, President of the Vietnam Association of Architects, shared his impressions: "Walking into the pavilion, I felt a return to something very primal and traditional, yet undeniably modern."

He praised Viglacera’s green material ecosystem for maintaining its core values of creativity and original emotion. He emphasized that the "Vein-in-Body" stone not only highlights modern design but also confirms the ability of Vietnamese enterprises to master world-class technology. "Viglacera gives us the confidence to use Vietnamese materials to create landmark projects recognized by society," Dr. Son added.

Replacing Imports with Sustainable Domestic Solutions

From a practical application standpoint, Architect Nguyen Van Tat expressed pride in these domestic products, noting they are fully capable of replacing high-end imports from Italy or Germany.

"I once had a client who insisted on importing materials from Europe for a luxury project. I persuaded them to look at Eurotile and Vasta Stone instead, asking if they wanted the same quality at a more reasonable cost. The client was delighted with the final result," he shared. He noted that domestic products offer better distribution, warranties, and cost-efficiency while meeting the four essential criteria: quality, sustainability, affordability, and beauty.

The versatility of the material was further highlighted by flair bartender Duong Xuan Thanh, who performed on a Vasta Stone countertop. "I have seen master chefs at world-renowned Michelin restaurants use these surfaces. Experiencing it today—feeling its heat resistance, scratch resistance, and sheer elegance—I see that Vasta Stone provides the ideal stage for artists to create freely."

In addition to the product launches, the exhibition featured the "See – Touch – Define" seminar and a rapid design competition for architecture students titled "The Next Touch 2025."
